Human Resources Manager at Acero Engineering Acero Engineering Inc. (“Acero”), a dynamic company providing engineering, procurement and construction management expertise to the Oil and Gas industry, is currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to fill a role as an Intermediate Instrumentation and Controls Engineer/Tech. Acero is focused on facility and pipeline engineering, procurement and construction management services; from concept evaluation to plant start-up. Our core service offering is in-house project management, process, civil/structural, mechanical, electrical I&C engineering, project engineering, procurement, regulatory services and construction management. Responsibilities: Generate instrument datasheets and instrument loop diagrams. Prepare Control Philosophies. Communicate with 3rd party Controls personnel. Update cause & effect diagram, alarm & setting list for additional control scope. Redline all drawings per construction changes, such as junction box wiring diagrams, instrument loop diagrams, Instrument location drawings, control panel layouts and instrument installation details. Redline all design delivery documents per construction changes such as instrument index, instrument datasheets, control narrative, instrument alarm & setting list, cause & effect diagrams, I/O assignments. Update P&ID and GA per construction changes and Isometric redlines. Approve RFI and process FDN. Generate and process Management of Changes (MOC) per construction requirements. I&C related procurement. Sub-contract issues such as PLC programming, SCADA, etc. Other tasks/responsibilities, as required. Preferred Education, Experience and Skills: Minimum of 6 years as an Instrumentation and Controls Engineer/Tech in Oil and Gas Facilities in Western Canada. Field experience is an asset. Strong ability to navigate P&IDs, especially the I&C aspects, is required. Proficient working knowledge of CEC, standards, specs and Regulations would be an advantage. Understanding and working effectively with Word, Excel, Project, Visio, Powerpoint. Excellent team collaboration and interpersonal skills. Strong written, verbal, analytical and critical thinking skills. Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight timelines as occasionally demanded by our clients.
