to join our local team. As a Millwright you will be responsible for preventative maintenance and repair work on all site mechanical equipment to keep the plant running smoothly and efficiently. Perform field inspections of equipment for safe and proper operation. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities, respond to malfunctions. Anticipate problems and identify opportunities for improvement. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Perform preventative maintenance work on all site mechanical equipment. Consult manufacturers manuals to determine maintenance procedures. Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations, and with Company policies and procedures. What We Are Looking For Experience working in a heavy industrial / manufacturing environment. Valid interprovincial or Red Seal Millwright ticket. Thorough knowledge and understanding of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Ability to read and interpret mechanical schematics, drawings and blueprints. Ability to solve practical problems and perform all technical aspects of the job using the appropriate tools or systems. Proficient computer skills. Requires the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull heavy loads, sometimes 75+ lbs. Able to work inside and outside in year-round weather conditions Requires lifting, kneeling, bending, twisting, pushing and pulling, working at elevated heights, at times in tight and awkward positions.
