p>SaskEnergy is seeking a solution architect resource with a broad based background of technical experience and deep technical expertise in the Microsoft 365 technology stack to be part of the Solutions & Architecture team to provide Information Technology (IT) solutions to business problems.

These solutions may include systems, applications, infrastructure or processes, and may involve the enterprise and integration of a wide variety of products, services and technologies. The Solution Architect position requires extensive knowledge of systems, architectures, systems management, networking, network computing and application design techniques, different platform implementations and should be able to identify, evaluate and select the elements of the solution which best meet the business needs of the client organization.Description of Requirements

Typical activities in this role include but are not limited to:

  1. Leading solution evaluation and assuming a technical leadership role as part of the core team on PDO projects, acting as the representative for Information Systems.
  2. Developing non-functional and technical specifications for solution RFP documents.
  3. Overseeing the activities of technical resources to deliver solutions.
  4. Working with project teams to develop the conceptual architecture design; ensuring it contains appropriate level of guidance (business, information, application and technical perspective).
Experience:

At minimum, candidates must have led two (2) large IT (O365 related) projects, in a Solution Architect role, from start to finish as part of a project team. Indicate all projects that fit this experience if more than the two (2) required.

  1. Architecture and hands-on experience including implementing collaboration solutions with O365 Services such as SharePoint and OneDrive.
  2. O365 Governance – leading and defining roadmap implementation strategy and rollout.
  3. O365 Technical Governance – defining and implementing including Information protection and Information Governance.
  4. Change management – Experience leveraging the Microsoft Service Adoption Framework for User adoption.
  5. Expert level communicator (ability to communicate and present effectively, create effective tailored content).
  6. Experience working closely with business to solve technical and process problems.
  7. Canadian federal, provincial, municipal government or similar work experience.
  8. Government of Saskatchewan / Utilities or similar work experience.
Education:

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

The resource will be required to work and be located on site at SaskEnergy Head Office in Regina, Monday to Friday 8 am to 5 pm and the proposed hourly rate shall be inclusive of all travel and living costs (PST and GST are extra).

Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail):
  1. Candidate must show experience leading at least 2 commercial scale IT (O365 related) projects, in a solution Architect role, start to finish as part of a project team.
  2. Candidate must have at least 2 years experience with Architecture experience including implementing collaboration solutions with O365 services such as SharePoint and OneDrive.
  3. Candidate must have 2 years experience leading and defining roadmap implementation strategy and rollout.
  4. Candidate must have 1 year experience O365 Technical Governance – defining and implementing including information protection and information governance.
  5. Candidate must have 1 year experience change management – experience leveraging the Microsoft Service Adoption Framework for user adoption.
