Join to apply for the Private Lending Associate role at Manulife Position Overview The Private Lending Associate is a Senior Relationship and Service Position focused on delivering banking solutions to high‑net‑worth clients. Reporting to the AVP, Head of Specialized Lending Solutions, key deliverables include providing a very high level of service to HNW clientele, branch processing administration, support in the delivery of credit and full suite of banking solutions, maintenance and responsibility for security files, and support to local Regional Director in fulfilling sales and the closing of cases. Position Responsibilities Work with advisors and their clients to recommend solutions that amplify their insurance and investment strategies. Maintain a deep understanding of our lineup of specialized lending strategies. Ensure consistent adherence to standards to deliver a high‑net‑worth client experience, address client queries, collaborate with internal partners, and complete client transactions while liaising with operations staff as needed. Investigate and respond promptly to client needs, working with minimal supervision to ensure client satisfaction. Serve as a key member of the relationship management team, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of client relationships. Set up and administer new loan and deposit business by processing financial transactions, ensuring the quality of the security file, maintaining accurate records for reporting, compliance, and audit requirements, and promptly escalating and addressing any deficiencies. Identify and recommend suitable solutions for process, system, or product enhancements, maintain the security of all bank records and correspondence, and perform general office administration tasks. Required Qualifications Possess post‑secondary education or equivalent industry experience with over 5 years of banking experience, including retail, commercial, and preferably high‑net‑worth sectors. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrate excellent knowledge of banking operations, systems, and controls, along with strong PC skills, including proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, PowerBI, and knowledge of Salesforce. Exhibit superior client experience skills, advanced interpersonal and diplomacy skills, strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities, and the ability to make sound judgments and be accountable. Show preference for bilingual proficiency in English and French (for Ontario positions only), achievement orientation, strong internal networking skills, and proven organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to influence and work collaboratively with high‑net‑worth teams, adapt to changes, technology, and team priorities, and thrive in a rapidly changing and growing business environment.
