O2E Brands is looking for a Senior Technical Product Manager, Platform Products, to join our growing team
As part of the Product Management department, you will lead our Platform vision, and help us unlock the next level of innovations and efficiencies powered by Data that drive strategic impact. In this position, you will be developing a deep understanding of various products, and develop a clear vision of how our data platform will enable our customer, franchise and platform products. This position will be responsible for the end-to-end product life cycle of our platform from discovery, requirements, priorities, development and decommissioning and replacement of old legacy platforms.
Our ideal candidate is a strategic thinker, with a strong product mindset, however is technical at their core. They have in-depth experience diagnosing, mapping and delivering new data and platform solutions that successfully use data to unlock new strategic opportunities for the company that enable businesses to be truly innovative.
Starting January 2025, all team members in Vancouver and Toronto will be required to work in-office every other week, for three consecutive days (Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday). To support business priorities, core hours of attendance will be mandatory from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on these days.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the products that support the collection, organization, storage, synchronization, archival and sharing of data on the platform with integrated systems and data consumers.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure our platform is developed in alignment with our broader goals and strategy.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging data analytics and AI to enhance platform functionality.
- Interface with architects, data analysts, data engineers, product managers, technical program management, Business Unit leaders and franchises to create compelling data vision and gain alignment on the path we take to get there.
- Accountable for successful adoption of new data standards and platforms to make data a strategic enabler for the business.
- Work collaboratively across teams and departments to develop the product strategy, roadmap, outcomes and key results to execute on business goals.
- Monitor, assess, and report on appropriate metrics and results related to data platform.
- Champion data literacy and drive data adoption across the organization, while staying laser-focused on de-risking from a Security, Privacy, and Compliance standpoint.
- Share best practices, industry trends, and new innovations within and across our business.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in technical product management roles with a focus on cloud-based data management platforms.
- Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure technologies and their associated services (e.g. AWS).
- Familiarity with data governance frameworks, data quality management principles, and regulatory compliance (e.g., CCPA).
- Experience with open source, always-on, application databases (e.g. PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.)
- Proficiency in agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework) and tools such as JIRA or Trello.
- Solid understanding of software engineering principles with the ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
- Highly collaborative - able to work cross-functionally with a number of internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with a demonstrated ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
- Ability to influence and get people excited about the power of data.
Salary: $110,000 to $135,000 (based on experience, education & internal parity)
