This position is responsible for the design, deployment, management, and security of storage and compute infrastructure for the organization. This includes the planning, management, and monitoring of the physical server and storage infrastructure, as well as the deployment, monitoring, and management of the Operating Systems.

The Director of Systems Engineering will also lead recruitment, retention, development, and succession of the Systems Engineering workforce. This role will support and optimize business, personnel, technical, and production leadership. This role will also support their teams and the IT department to achieve the company's Vision, Mission, Objectives, and Values.

Responsibilities
  • 10+ years of progressive IT experience, MUST have 5 years of managing teams
  • Experience in the Financial Services industry, particularly mortgages
  • In-depth understanding of Information Technology concepts
  • Ability to balance risk, cost, and benefit
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of change and competing priorities
  • Strong oral, written, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interface with all levels within the organization
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Excellent planning and project management skills
  • Demonstrated leadership experience mentoring and coaching others
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks across multiple projects
  • Excellent attention to detail and results-oriented
Technical Skills Preferred
  • Windows/Linux enterprise server platforms
  • Hypervisor technologies (Broadcom, OpenShift)
  • Systems Monitoring (SolarWinds SAM/VMAN)
