Overview Job Category: Personal and Commercial Insurance Requisition Number: ENTRY006871 Location: Pickering, ON (1099 Kingston Rd, Pickering, ON L1V1B5, CAN) We are seeking an Entry Level Personal Insurance Advisor to join BrokerLink and work out of our Pickering branch in the Central Ontario region, on a Permanent FT basis. No insurance experience is required; we provide and pay for all training to become a licensed insurance broker in any of our Ontario branches. Once training is complete, you’ll be ready to help people protect what’s most important to them. Responsibilities Service ongoing client needs, advise on insurance matters, conduct needs assessments, recommend solutions, answer inquiries, perform care calls, and process renewals Sell new policies and write new business to existing or new clients; retain existing book of business Quote new business through outbound initiatives, introductory letters, and walk-in clients Contact Underwriters and Adjusters to discuss guidelines and policy Prepare documentation for insurers, complete applications for clients, issue insurance certificates, process changes, and review renewals Stay current on underwriting rules and workflow processes Participate in training initiatives and community marketing initiatives Process accounts receivable activities Provide guidance and assistance as requested Qualifications Post-secondary education (required) Relevant sales and customer service experience Desire and ability to create your own sales leads Exposure to Epic is an asset Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities successfully Strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to pass a criminal background check and credit check Perks and Benefits Flexible health and dental insurance benefits package Personal spending allowance for a healthy lifestyle RRSP with company matching ESPP - Employee Share Purchase Plan with matching Dress for your day Competitive compensation with bonus potential Employee discount program (e.g., Apple, Bell, Rogers) Paid time off: personal days, volunteer days, exam/study time, jury duty, and starting at 3 weeks vacation Recognition as a top employer (Kincentric 2024) Equal Employment Opportunity BrokerLink is committed to providing an accessible environment.
