A provincial leader in student achievement, HCDSB provides exceptional educational experiences and services to over 36,000 students across 48 elementary schools, 10 secondary schools, and 3 continuing education facilities, serving the wider Catholic communities of Burlington, Halton Hills, Milton, and Oakville.Position: LTO - Intermediate Science/Intermediate Physical Education (1.00 FTE) DetailsGrade / Division: Intermediate Science/Intermediate Physical EducationFTE / Sections: 1.00 FTESchedule: PPL 10F, SNC 2P, SNC 2D As per collective agreement.Qualifications: As per the Education Act and Regulations, unless otherwise specified. Responsibilities and ConsiderationsAppointment of Occasional Teachers in Long Term AssignmentsThe assignment shall be filled in accordance with Part A, Article 17.3 of the current OECTA Secondary Collective Agreement, with priority given to unplaced, qualified redundant teacher applicants from the Secondary Teacher bargaining in order of seniority. If the assignment remains unfilled, qualified applications from the Occasional Roster will be considered.EducationNotwithstanding the above, we encourage applications from all Ontario Certified Teacher applicants as well as education students holding, or who have applied for, a Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers; or a Multi-Session Transitional Certificate of Qualification and Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers.The posted end date is subject to change and the assignment may terminate as follows:on a date determined to meet a Board staffing requirement; orthe last teaching day before the return date of the absent teacher; orby no later than the last teaching day of the current school year.This assignment may end sooner than the posted end date.
