Medical Radiation Technologist (MRT) - Radiography Are you ready to embark on a thrilling journey in diagnostic imaging? Join Quinte Health, where cutting‑edge technology meets compassionate care to transform lives every day Our Diagnostic Imaging/Radiology Unit is the hub of activity across four sites, supporting inpatients, outpatients and emergency cases while providing critical support to the OR, Fracture Clinic and Endoscopy. Growth opportunities abound: become a Senior or Charge Technologist and expand your skill set with training in mammography, CT and other modalities. Schedule includes days, evenings, nights and on‑call rotations. The DI Team thrives on connection—regular touchpoints and educational sessions keep everyone supported and empowered, no matter where they are based. Required Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Medical Imaging – Radiography program. Registration with OAMRS/CAMRT preferred; valid liability insurance as defined by CMRITO. Member in good standing of the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario (CMRITO). Initiative, organizational and decision‑making skills essential. Strong computer skills. Excellent communication skills; courteous and effective with physicians, patients and team members. Capable of coping with a physically demanding workload. Must be available to work all shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays. Duties Perform general and special radiography procedures according to Standards of Practice. Execute Quality Assurance procedures as set by department standards. Ensure adequate level of products and supplies to support daily operations. Archive/retrieve data to/from PACS. Report equipment deficiencies to Charge Technologist/Manager. Instruct students during clinical rotation and participate in evaluating student progress. Assist in orientation and training of new technologists. Demonstrate willingness to provide highest quality service based on continuous improvement philosophy. Maintain courteous behavior and respectful communication with all co‑workers and patients. Participate in continuing education in order to increase own professional growth and development. Maintain general working knowledge of Diagnostic Imaging services policies and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned from time to time. Assigned duties in CT.
