Provide senior technical direction to delivery teamsArchitect and review cross‑system integrations, defining master data flows between customer systems and the Workiva platformArchitect and review advanced data queries and reporting solutions to meet analytical requirements, mentoring teams on leading practicesRun architectural assessments of customer data environments, outlining gaps, risks, and opportunities for enterprise‑level optimizationCross‑Functional Collaboration And LeadershipProvide program management and strategic leadership to key services and customer success stakeholders, coordinating the interdependencies among multiple complex transformation projectsGather executive‑level input from customers and partners, collaborate with leadership, product, and engineering teams, and use those insights to shape the product roadmap and feature designThought Leadership And EnablementLead advanced knowledge‑sharing sessions with customer and partner application owners to drive self‑sufficiency and long‑term successDevelop high‑quality, reusable assets and reference architectures (white papers, webinars, frameworks) focused on transformation strategies, scalable platform adoption, and partner enablement to support repeatable success across enterprise customersWhat You’ll NeedMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in a technical field of study, such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or similar10+ years of experience in customer‑facing roles, preferably Customer Success, Solution Architecture, or Consulting5+ years of experience serving as a technical lead or fulfilling a team lead positionPreferred Qualifications5+ years of experience working directly with the Workiva platform and its data management capabilities, including Wdata and ChainsExperience integrating or managing Software‑as‑a‑Service applications and enterprise systems, especially in the fields of Accounting & Finance, Audit, Risk & Compliance, or SustainabilityExpert in data structures and schemas from regulated industries, with the ability to turn complex regulatory requirements into clear, software‑driven workflowsExperience working with or integrating ERP systems (Oracle, Workday, SAP, Sage), EPM systems (Oracle, Planful, Anaplan), and data and analytics platforms (Oracle, Snowflake, Power BI)Strong understanding of Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, and ETL techniquesFamiliarity with cloud platforms and modern data architectures (Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Azure Synapse)Prior experience with integration technologies such as Informatica, Microsoft SSIS, Boomi, Mulesoft, Workato, or similar solutionsKnowledge of API design philosophy/patterns, communication protocols (SOAP, REST, JSON, XML), and encodingFamiliarity with creating, reviewing, and tuning queries using SQLFamiliarity with leveraging application code and scripting (e.g., Python) to automate scalable workflowsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skillsAbility to influence at all levels and in various departmentsHighly data‑driven and detail‑orientedStrong problem‑solving skills with technical diagnostic abilitySelf‑starter with the ability to manage time and prioritize demandsTravel Requirements And Working Conditions25% Travel for internal meetingsReliable internet access for any period of time working remotely and not in a Workiva officeWorkiva is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
