The Quality team within Auth0 drives a culture of quality across the organization. This role is a deep engineering position focused on performance, conducting non‑functional testing, identifying critical optimization areas, and providing in‑depth analysis to uncover platform‑level efficiencies. About the Team Performance & Resilience team operating on a hub‑spoke model with a core focus on automation. Build tools, processes, and automation frameworks to empower the Engineering organization to enhance performance, resilience, and load testing optimization. Support specific teams with performance optimization and testing to maintain and continually improve system performance. What We're Looking For Programming Knowledge: Experience with a programming language such as Node.js, TypeScript, JavaScript, or Golang is a plus. A tester’s mindset and ability to understand code and collaborate effectively with teams are essential. Experience with Databases: Familiarity with MongoDB or SQL, understanding trade‑offs between persistence and performance, and knowledge of indexes or query planners. High‑level understanding of Kubernetes (K8s) and microservices architecture. Public cloud experience with AWS and Azure. Observability tooling experience: datadog, New Relic, OpenTracing, OpenTelemetry or similar request‑tracing tooling. Load testing tool experience with JMeter, Apache Bench, Artillery, etc. Linux and container experience leveraging Linux and containers in production. A developer mindset: passion for digging into code, understanding system behavior, and proactively identifying optimization opportunities. Why Join Us? Benefits & Compensation Annual base salary range for candidates located in Canada: $88,000—$132,000 CAD.
