We want someone who is always working to perfect their craft, and who wants to take advantage of every training opportunity or program to do so.On a practical level, you will be responsible for :Assessing client needs and recommending employee benefits, life and living benefits, and assisting clients in planning and implementation of product solutionsInteracting with and educating potential and existing clients in the products that best suit their needsResearching and sourcing various products and carriers to find the most suitable products for client needsSourcing and prospecting potential customers and creating interest in our firm and our productsCross-selling and promoting additional HMA products (e.g., life / living benefits, pension, GRSP, etc.)Securing sales of the above products by prospecting, setting appointments, identifying client pain points and budget, proposing solutions, obtaining commitment, and completing applications with paymentAttending bi-weekly sales meetings and other company/team meetings as scheduledReporting your prospecting progress to your Sales Manager weekly or bi-weeklySatisfying continuing education requirements annually for industry licensingUtilizing CRM (Hubspot) or other computer programs (TAM, Excel, etc.) to record activities, ensuring contact details are accurate, and logs are maintainedIf assigned, attending Chamber of Commerce functions within your territory to become a known benefits advisorWorking @ HMA The BENEFITS PeopleThis is a full-time, permanent position based out of our bright and cheerful Whitby office. You will spend most of your time out in the community, talking to potential and existing clients, but will always have a supportive base to return to. You will work Monday to Friday, and will receive a competitive salary, commensurate with experience and performance.
