The Functional HR Leader, Advisory (FHRL) works with the Advisory Canadian Managing Partner (CMP) and Advisory Leadership Team (ALT) on the development and implementation of Advisory Talent Management Strategy and National Talent Management strategies and programs within Advisory. As an ‘HR Account Manager’ for the Advisory function, the FHRL works with a team of specialists in Talent Attraction, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Employee Relations, and other HR Business Advisors to understand the current state of the function from a people perspective, and to recommend a future state that more effectively deploys, retains, engages, and develops the right talent now and for the future. What You Will Do Participate as an active member of the National HR Leadership Team representing the Advisory function. Act as an internal consultant to the Advisory team, providing solutions and strategic insights to execute current and future talent needs. Provide industry and market best practices and offer thought leadership on organizational and people‑related talent strategy. Build strong collaborative relationships with leadership at an executive level that add value to business results. Provide overall functional HR direction during business planning and in collaboration with the Advisory Leadership Team and National HR Leadership Team. Work with the CMP and the Advisory Leadership Team to analyze talent issues and determine solutions, partnering with Centres of Expertise when necessary. Lead succession planning and new‑leader processes across the function. Work with local leaders and HR Business Advisors to identify ways to enhance teamwork across Advisory and opportunities for individual growth. Collaborate closely with other FHRLs to drive cross‑functional efficiencies. Act as liaison across HR (Delivery Centre and COEs) to ensure HR services are aligned and leveraged as intended. What You Bring To The Role 10+ years of work experience as an HR Leader / Senior Business Partner. 5+ years of professional services experience with deep understanding of the Advisory business and emerging talent trends. Ability to quickly build relationships with stakeholders and influence at executive levels. Extensive experience in reward principles, performance management, career development, learning & organizational development, and assessment. CHRP or equivalent experience is an asset. A strategic thinker with strong analysis, presentation, and communication skills. Self‑starter who brings timely and relevant insights to the leadership table. Strong analytical, diagnosing, summarizing, and influencing skills in a fast‑paced environment. This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will support and collaborate with English‑speaking colleagues and stakeholders across the country while at KPMG, and will be required to create, interpret, and apply policies, practices, employment laws, and regulations during the regular course of employment. KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $115,000 to $193,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards.
