Engineer-in-Training or Civil Technologist/Technician, Land Development

OverviewWSP is currently seeking a Civil Technologist/Technician for our Land Development & Municipal Engineering group. This position is based in our Winnipeg office and will be responsible to work on municipal projects with a focus on public and private clients involving water and wastewater systems, storm water management, municipal roads and land development.What you can expect to do hereParticipate in preliminary and detailed design, as well as drafting of water, sanitary, and drainage systems, roads, grading, and retention pondsUtilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to support projects from concept through completionPerform design calculations under the supervision of professional engineersContribute to the preparation of technical reportsAssist with the development of construction drawings, specifications, tender documents, cost estimates, and quantity schedulesCollaborate and coordinate with other disciplines to coordinate design effortsEngage in design reviews and provide input as neededWhat you’ll bring to WSPDiploma in Civil Technology or Civil Engineering Technician from an accredited institutionEligible for registration with CTTAM as a Technologist or Technician2+ years’ experience in civil design and draftingExperience in AutoCAD Civil 3DAbility to interpret construction drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with local municipal standards and approval processes in Manitoba would be beneficialAbout UsWSP is one of the world's leading professional services firms.
