Work with EA peers to analyze enterprise business context and derive the future‑state technology architecture. Monitor new promising technologies and analyze their applicability to the Government with a focus on Network, Server, Cloud and Endpoints. Create technical standards that govern the enterprise and guide how applications and devices can function within the Government network. Lead technology change to deliver business outcomes, leveraging subject matter experts as needed. Research and perform analysis on complex enterprise issues, develop alternative solutions and recommend enterprise strategy. Work closely with product managers, product owners and EA peers to enable infrastructure agility, scalability and resilience. Define high‑level migration plans to address gaps between current and future state. Work with project teams to understand project scope. Lead analysis of the current technology environment to detect deficiencies, legacy and technical debt, and recommend solutions. Analyze technology industry trends to determine their potential impact. Review projects at design stages to ensure Enterprise Architecture compliance. Report discrepancies to Enterprise Architecture services and project management. Set and document the technical IT architecture of Government. Conduct periodic reviews of established platforms, applications, databases and projects for changes and update architecture accordingly. Provide advice in the development of ITSS’s Strategic Plan. Other related duties. Minimum Qualifications University degree in computer science or related field. Demonstrated equivalencies will be considered. Experience designing and implementing solutions involving platform and network infrastructure with a focus on Network, Server, Cloud and Endpoints. Experience in the SDLC and software development methodologies. Familiarity with technologies such as desktop architecture, server architecture, multi‑tier infrastructure, clustering, load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, virtualization, capacity planning, TCP/IP, VPN, PKI, SSL, firewall, storage technology. Experience setting up and developing databases. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills; strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, consultation, facilitation, consensus building and negotiation skills. Experience managing expectations of diverse project stakeholders and users, both business and IT. Expertise in translating conceptual and logical architecture into physical technology architecture and design. Working knowledge of information management, data and process modelling, metadata structures, repository functions, data dictionaries and data warehouses. Awareness of emerging IT technologies and trends. Good prior work and attendance record. Successful completion of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check prior to employment.
