The HR/LR Consultant reports to the Director of Human Resources and will provide guidance and support on employment and labour relations matters, including collective agreement interpretation, grievance handling, mediation, bargaining, employee counselling, conflict resolution, performance management, and organisational change. Essential Qualifications Four‑year degree in Human Resources Management, Industrial Relations or related business field Certified Human Resources Professional (C.H.R.P.) and active membership in good standing with HRPA Minimum five years of experience in a broad range of generalist HR roles with recent focus on labour relations, preferably in hospital or unionised environment Ability to lead change projects independently using a consultative and consensus building approach Experience investigating and resolving grievance issues and responding to managers, staff, union representatives Sound judgment, analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making skills for assessing situations and recommending actions Leadership, interpersonal, advocacy and relationship building skills; influence through facilitation and discussion Knowledge of current employment law, collective agreements and best practice HR policy and procedures Strategic thinking; awareness of impact on other functional areas, people and financial implications Ability to build trust, listen openly, encourage sharing, respect diversity Facilitation, presentation and training skills; develop training or presentation documents Works independently and effectively as leader or member in teams, task‑for‑ces and committees Works with all levels of staff, volunteers, patients, public and community partners Proficient in Microsoft Office, HR database and electronic document management systems Organisational, administrative and time‑management skills Physical requirements met per Physical Demands Analysis Hours of Work: On‑site position in Lindsay; Monday–Friday.
