Senior Director, Data Engineering, Data Management

What you’ll Do:

Sr. Director ASIC Engineering will be responsible for leading a team of mixed-signal designers, verification, validation and F/W engineers to develop and deliver cutting edge Serdes for Acacia ASICs for multi-100G to 1.6T coherent optical communications products. The team currently supports multiple projects and consists of approximately 20+ full time staff members.

Who you’ll work with:

  1. Work with HW team to define evaluation platform to validate the performance and functionality of the Serdes.
  2. Work with HW and ATE teams to support production testing issues.
  3. Work with SW and SAE team to support customer issues if any arise.
  4. Work with Marketing teams and internal Standards Committees to contribute to project definition.

What you are:

  1. In-depth technical leadership on architecture, floorplan, design, and validation of DSP based Serdes running at 100Gbps or beyond.
  2. Work with digital and DSP teams to specify calibration algorithms and equalizer, clock recovery implementation.
  3. Responsible for providing all associated views for IP to be integrated in ASIC and integration document.
  4. Monitor the team performance and conduct annual reviews.
  5. Allocate team resources across multiple projects and prioritize deliverables.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s or master’s degree majoring in Computer Engineering, or Electronic & Electrical Engineering or equivalent with 15 or more years of related industry experience.
  2. Minimum five years of experience with managing direct reports.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Knowledge of networking industry standards, customer requirements, and usage models.
  2. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
  3. Experienced in managing and leading a diverse team of strong individual contributors.
  4. Ability to cooperate in a global, multi-site matrixed organization.
