Project Leader, Production

Job Summary The Production Project Leader is responsible for initiatives to improve production safety, quality, capacity, reliability, cost, customer service and regulatory compliance in the Production department. Acting as a leading member of a team, the Project Leader works with others in Production to reduce or eliminate non‑value added activities or costs while maintaining or improving quality, productivity and timeliness of the projects being managed. Job Responsibilities Work closely with Production Technicians and Production Management to support objectives related to Safety/Quality/Productivity, including PMO & DLM action items, continuous improvement initiatives and data collection for various projects. Monitor individual line routings (target and actual) and send updates to Production Management and Scheduling Team on a defined frequency. Support the investigation process to determine root cause, generate CAPAs and departmental notifications; write PRs as needed and serve as SME for SWAT investigations. Liaise with Production Operations, Engineering, Quality Assurance and SHE group to coordinate project activities, provide technical advice, lead dedicated teams, and generate CCRs for equipment and SOPs as required. Execute installation, operational qualifications (IQ/OQ) for new and existing equipment and develop and execute related protocols. Seek out issues and recommend solutions for improvements in production processes, reliability and compliance. Coordinate activities of team members, consultants/vendors and contractors, ensuring technical and regulatory compliance and monitoring cost and schedule parameters. Update or generate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), MMAR/MPAR templates based on CAPAs, equipment changes and other drivers of change. Ensure all work complies with cGMPs, SOPs and established Safety Standards, including audit responses and audit preparation activities. Job Requirements EducationPost secondary degree in Engineering, Sciences, or a related technical field preferred, or equivalent combination of College Diploma and Project Management experience in a manufacturing environment. Leadership ability particularly in achieving outcomes through others, developing and maintaining positive working relationships, clarifying expectations and taking ownership and accountability for own performance. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Ability to work within a team environment as demonstrated through previous work experience. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Proven customer service skills. Proven strong organizational, time management, and project management skills. Demonstrated experience in coordinating project activities. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills. ExperienceThree to five years of work experience in a GMP manufacturing environment preferred.
