Base pay range CA$70,000.00/yr – CA$95,000.00/yr Phasor Engineering is a dynamic North America based company specializing in engineering, design, panel fabrication, and testing/commissioning of high voltage electrical facilities. Our focus is to incorporate the latest technological advances to provide the most cost-effective and efficient solutions to power system engineering. This focus allows us to be involved in a diverse range of projects from conceptual engineering through to commissioning and startup. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Protection & Control Engineer-in-Training (EIT) to join our team on a full-time basis. This role will be based out of our Burnaby BC office. If you are an excellent communicator and skilled problem-solver with strong attention to detail, we offer a dynamic work environment where you will be continuously challenged in all aspects of the testing and commissioning process. Responsibilities Assist senior engineers in the development of protection and control designs from conceptual through implementation stages. Prepare and review single-line diagrams, control schematics, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and bill of materials. Perform engineering calculations related to protection coordination and system studies. Program protection & control devices. Participate in site visits and commissioning activities to learn practical application of designs. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects. Requirements Holds a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent. Registered or is eligible for registration as an EIT with Engineers and Geoscientists BC (EGBC). Relevant experience through co-op, academic projects, or professional work in substation utility design, protection and control design, or related power systems is an asset. Familiarity with protection principles, relay coordination, and related engineering software is an asset. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Experience using AutoCAD software is an asset. Motivated, organized, with a collaborative and adaptable approach to work. Basic knowledge of the office suite (Outlook, Word, Excel). Able to work independently while contributing effectively within a team.
