Through a robust stakeholder feedback loop and supported by consistent processes and leadership, we take pride in delivering responsive, fair and professional service with empathy and efficiency.**How you will create an impact*** Review casualty claims in conjunction with policy wordings to determine coverage.* Provide direction to adjusters on investigation of claims.* Prepare disclaimer and/or reservation of rights letters and communication same to underwriters, brokers and insureds when applicable.* Provide instruction to legal counsel to bring about appropriate resolution of claim.* Ensure compliance by legal counsel of our litigation guidelines.* Participate in mediation/ADR process to bring about resolution of claim.* Negotiate settlements directly where possible.* Issue payments within appropriate time frame.* Operate within our best practices guidelines, including timely reserve review, notes, payment requests, electronic diary.* Inform management of all complaints, large losses, coverage issues, etc.**What you’ll need to succeed*** Minimum 2 years of experience handling commercial casualty claims.* College/University or equivalent industry experience.* Ability to make decisions and give directions to adjusters and/or counsel.* Must be a quick learner with strong communication and negotiating skills.* Excellent interpersonal skills.* Proficient computer skills to navigate paperless claim file system.#LI-PA1#Casualtyclaims #casualtyAt AIG, we value in-person collaboration as a vital part of our culture, which is why we ask our team members to be primarily in the office.
