OverviewThe Construction Coordinator supports the planning, execution, and completion of fire protection projects. This role ensures accurate scheduling, documentation, and communication across teams, subcontractors, and clients to deliver projects on time, within scope, and in compliance with safety and quality standards.Base pay rangeCA$48,000.00/yr - CA$52,000.00/yrResponsibilitiesTrack and verify technician and coordinator hours; ensure accurate daily and weekly reporting in the Service Call system.Coordinate with Payroll and Project Management to validate hours and work orders.Review technician reports and communicate updates to the Construction Team.Support manpower planning and ensure timely delivery of drawings, materials, and drain downs.Monitor site progress, and maintain monthly project reports.Evaluate fitter and apprentice performance; maintain data to support staffing and development.Coordinate safety training, site visits, and maintain certification records.Manage onboarding for new Road Crew hires, including documentation, orientation, and union verification.Conduct site visits and act as liaison between Superintendents and Project Managers.Qualifications1–3 years in construction coordination or project support (fire protection or mechanical systems preferred)Strong organizational, communication, and time management skillsProficient in Microsoft Office and project management tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project)Knowledge of safety standards, building codes, and ability to read construction drawingsPreferredPost-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, or related fieldExperience with fire protection systems (sprinklers, alarms)What We OfferCompetitive benefits packageOpportunities for career growth and advancementA supportive, high-performance team environmentJoin UsHeadquartered in Mississauga with operations across Canada, Onyx Fire Protection Services is a trusted provider of fire protection solutions.
