The Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Strategy, will play a pivotal role in driving the creation and adoption of our strategy and supporting the execution of strategic initiatives and transformative programs.PurposeThe Senior Manager, Data & Analytics Strategy will be responsible for driving the creation and adoption of our strategy and supporting the execution of strategic initiatives and transformative programs.ResponsibilitiesSpecifically, you will be responsible for:Supports execution and delivery of complex programs and projects with proven ability to engage at all levels of the organization and to articulate progress to Senior LeadershipCollaborate with stakeholders to align priorities, deliverables and drive accountability across teamsDesign strategic program roadmaps and frameworks, partnering with cross-functional teams across CID&A and stakeholders across the BankDevelop and maintain program monitoring and reporting, including defining key milestones and performance metricsDrive agenda and content creation for monthly program Steering Committee meetings, and other Executive CommitteesLead in creation of strategy content and providing advisory support for Senior LeadershipDevelop clear, compelling, and visually sophisticated PowerPoint presentations that distill complex analyses into Executive-ready narratives, supporting strategic decision makingPerform strategic, business and competitive analysis, and propose recommendationsManage multiple workstreams, including leading problem-solving sessions, workshops and interviews with cross-functional stakeholders and subject matter expertsSupport the crafting, and building out of adoption, of CID&A strategy, across AI, Data and AnalyticsAssist with organizing strategy offsites for senior managementStrategic SupportAssist in working with Senior Leadership on content for internal and external events, such as townhalls, presentations, and speaking engagementsWork with Global and Program Communications team to ensure CID&A messaging aligns to the Bank’s strategy.Contributes to, and reviews, reports and updates to executive leadershipRisk CultureDirect day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicate the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.Create an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk and conduct risk, including but not limited to responsibilities under the Operational Risk Management Framework, Regulatory Compliance Risk Management Framework, AML/ATF Global Handbook and the Guidelines for Business Conduct.QualificationsEducational background in business or engineering2+ years post-MBA or 5+ years post-undergraduate experience in Corporate Strategy, Consulting or Data & AnalyticsAbility to deliver results in a fast-paced, challenging and dynamic business environment with demanding timelinesProven experience in strategic planning, data analysis and analytical roles, preferably in a technology-driven environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear and compelling messagesExcellent knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and possess exceptional PowerPoint skillsEffectively manage and motivate teams, stakeholders, working groups to achieve goalsDrive to succeed with bias towards action and ability to navigate large organizations and build collaborative relationships; Proven ability to engage and manage stakeholders in a complex, matrixed environmentStrong curiosity to learn with adaptive and creative mindsetWorking ConditionsWork in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.At Scotiabank, we value the unique skills and experiences each individual brings to the Bank, and are committed to creating and maintaining an inclusive and accessible environment for everyone.
