Project Procurement & Logistics Manager – GE Vernova Job Description Summary: The Project Procurement & Logistics Manager (PPLM) is the primary interface for the Project Manager or Project Procurement Leader, coordinating sourcing, procurement and logistics across a portfolio of projects. They ensure procurement commitments are met on-time, with quality and cost objectives aligned with sourcing team negotiations. Performance Measurement: On-time delivery of suppliers performance On-time placement of POs for projects Execution within budget according to sourcing contracts Successful claim management against third parties Responsibilities: Own quality, costs and on-time delivery of the material and services for the Project. Co-own the Engineering Procurement Plan for the scope, where applicable. Work with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of documents required from suppliers. Own budget related to material and monitor it. Establish procurement schedule and monitor progress. Coordinate issuance of purchase requisitions to ensure timely placement of POs. Follow up timely closure of non-conformity issues with suppliers. Support Sourcing in obtaining technical specifications from engineering on time. Participate in periodic project meetings, generate notes and follow up actions. Review suppliers against contractual requirements including customs and duties. Oversee claim management with suppliers in coordination with the Commodity Leader/Buyer. Report monthly progress, supplier claims and project cost summary. Update suppliers’ cash out and project milestone recognition related to procurement. Represent procurement in internal and external project meetings. Ensure invoices are released in accordance with process. Support compliance with Quality and EHS rules applicable to the sourcing function. Support the PPL in fulfilling overall project targets. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college. Minimum 5 years of experience in high voltage electrical construction project environment. Willingness to travel domestically up to 40% of the time. Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime. Desired Characteristics: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Supply Management preferred. Experience as Project Manager, Tender Project Manager, Senior Purchasing Manager or similar. Good understanding of legal/contractual aspects of an EPC contract. Risk management knowledge and ability to work efficiently in cross-functional teams. Strong communicator, teamwork capability and negotiation skills. Knowledge of purchasing standards, policies, procedures and sourcing management. Ability to coach and develop team members. Strong accountability, resilience, autonomy and leadership. Decision-making, problem solving and ability to resolve issues with difficult suppliers. Basic planning skills for large complex projects. Technical knowledge of purchased products and power plant familiarity.
