Our client, a leading provider of comprehensive printing solutions, offers an array of services that bring creative concepts to life through cutting-edge technologies and market expertise. Specializing in digital printing, wide format printing, and commercial offset, they are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Gluer / Folder to join their team in Mississauga.

Position Overview:

The primary focus is setting up and operating machinery to glue and fold various materials as per job specifications, inspecting the quality and accuracy of folded materials, and troubleshooting any machine breakdowns, alongside conducting minor repairs and routine maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate gluing and folding machinery to produce finished products according to customer specifications and deadlines. Adjust machine settings for different job requirements, ensuring precise glue application and accurate folding. Monitor the quality of output, conducting visual inspections to ensure that all products meet the required standards and specifications. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on gluing and folding machines to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Coordinate with the production team to schedule jobs and ensure timely completion of orders. Keep accurate records of materials used, maintenance performed, and production output to assist in inventory management and process improvement. Adhere to safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe work environment. Collaborate with other departments, such as printing and cutting, to ensure seamless production flow and high-quality end products. Continuously seek ways to improve the gluing and folding processes, suggesting improvements to equipment, techniques, or materials.

Qualifications:

Previous experience operating gluing and folding machines within a printing or packaging environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot machinery. Keen attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Ability to read and interpret job specifications and blueprints. Basic math skills for calculating material requirements and adjustments. Good communication and teamwork skills to effectively collaborate with colleagues and other departments.
