We are looking for an individual who can:Provide proactive maintenance and repair services for a variety of equipment, including Chillers (air and/or water‑cooled, and centrifugal), as well as other HVAC and refrigeration systems.Support a range of technologies, including Centrifugal and Scroll equipment, controls, and Variable Speed Drive (VSD) systems.Perform maintenance and repairs on light and heavy applied HVAC/R systems in commercial and industrial buildings.Apply proven problem‑solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex system issues.Identify, estimate, and quote repair and upgrade solutions that extend equipment life and save energy for customers.Maintain positive, professional customer relationships and build trust by consistently meeting commitments.Support Carrier's Field Mechanical Services for startup and warranty activities.Comply with and enforce all Environmental, Health, and Safety policies and procedures.Demonstrate excellent time management and organizational skills while maintaining accurate reporting in our app.What You’ll GainUnion‑Provided Benefits: Enjoy union‑provided benefits and competitive wages.Investment in Your Career: We offer extensive factory OEM training, giving you the knowledge and skills to stay at the forefront of the HVAC industry.Additional Earning Potential: You can earn additional income through our technician incentive commission program.Tools for Success: You’ll be equipped with a company van, an RST rugged laptop, and specialized equipment as needed.Work‑Life Balance: Our convenient on‑call rotation helps ensure a better work‑life balance.A Supportive Team: You will have autonomy to execute, backed by camaraderie, continuous support, as well as Carrier service engineering support and additional resources of a dedicated team within a large, world‑renowned company.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or GED5+ years of experience as an HVAC journeyman.G2 Gas License/Certificate(ODP) certification.Valid driver's license.Must be in good standing with Union Local 787, or eligible to become a member.Must be able to lift 50lbs and be able to stand, crawl, sit and squat for extended periods of time.Must be able to climb a ladder and work with heights.Preferred QualificationsA customer‑focused mindset with the ability to build strong relationships and identify opportunities for upselling and selling repair and upgrading solutions.Proficiency with software tools (MS Office), laptops, and handheld devices (iPhone).Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a high degree of detailed accuracy.A strong mechanical aptitude and a desire to work with chillers and other complex HVAC and refrigeration equipment.A Gas 1 License is preferred.About CarrierCarrier Global Corporation, global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions, is committed to creating solutions that matter for people and our planet for generations to come.
