Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Arc'teryx Limited Full time

Department: Technology

Reports to: Product Manager, Merchandising & Product Technology

Location: North Vancouver (Hybrid)

Your Opportunity at Arc'teryx:

The PLM System Analyst is part of the Product Lifecycle Management Technology Team, and works closely with Centric Developers and the Merchant, Design & Product Creation business teams. You define requirements for Centric configuration projects by eliciting and analyzing requirements, liaising between business and technical resources, and documenting business processes or systems and their integrations. You are a critical thinker who enjoys diving into the details and seeks to understand the "how's" and "why's". You define, configure, test and implement new solutions, as well as managing process changes and supporting users through their use of the system.

Meet Your Future Team:

The Merchandising and Product Lifecycle Technology team in the Technology department is responsible for the enterprise-wide Product Lifecycle Management System (Centric), the core system used by Design, Product Development, and Merchant teams. In this role you will work with both internal and external teams to ensure the reliability, security, and stability of our PLM ecosystem, and to deliver new systems and interfaces that will connect and bind the people and processes that make up Arc'teryx. You and your team will be at the front of the systems that connect through the value chain.

If you were the PLM System Analyst now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:
  • Serving as the Subject Matter Expert for the Centric PLM and Visual Boards systems
  • Demonstrating expertise in Centric configuration, understanding attributes, enums, type configuration, forms, copy templates, node browser, class browser, attributes & node validation, Lookup items, view search query, debugging, and site file investigation
  • Working closely with Technology teams on integration projects to define system requirements
  • Executing configuration for new Centric features and integrations, collaborating with Centric consultants as needed
  • Facilitating and managing stakeholder engagement, building close relationships with business teams, and supporting change management initiatives
  • Analyzing current business processes and collaborating with users to define business problems and/or areas for improvement or increased efficiency
  • Recommending new processes, process flows, tools, or system solutions aligned with company goals
  • Collaborating closely with Business Analysts to assess the cross-departmental impact of business change requests
  • Translating business requirements into detailed and actionable specifications for use by Centric consultants and developers
  • Preparing and coordinating system changes for release, including organizing and leading product demo sessions, user training, maintaining guides and/or help tools, and managing the implementation phase of new features
  • Providing user support by analyzing, documenting, prioritizing, and solving incidents reported by Centric users or for other systems the team supports within our SLA
  • Reporting dysfunctions to the Centric support team, contributing to problem-solving, and communicating solutions to business teams clearly and concisely
  • Conducting analysis and testing on Centric upgrades and service packs, advising on which should be adopted
  • Participating in retrospective sessions to gather feedback from partners and ensure continuous improvement
Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:
  • Leading the implementation of new system features and enhancements to support ongoing business technology transformation
Are you our next PLM System Analyst?
  • You have a bachelor's degree or post-secondary education in Information Technology, Business, or a related field
  • You have 3+ years' experience as a System Analyst, Business Analyst, and/or Process Specialist in an agile software development environment
  • Prior experience working with a PLM, PIM, and/or Merchandising System, within the apparel/fashion industry
