At CAAT, we're passionate about what we do. And it shows

Here, you'll find a cultural spark in everything we do – from the way we partner with members and employers, to the way we work, collaborate, and grow. It doesn't just feel different at CAAT. It is different. We're one of the fastest-growing pensions in the country for a reason. We challenge the status quo, making a real impact on the hundreds of employers we serve – from education institutions to major corporations and household brands. And we're just getting started. Driven by core values and a shared purpose, we're fierce champions for better retirement security, known for our can-do culture where everyone plays a role in bringing our vision to life. If this sounds like a fit, we'd love you to be a part of it.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Pension Analyst, Quality Assurance who is integral to the success of the Employer Services team and to CAAT's guiding mission and growth strategy. In this role, you will conduct comprehensive assessments to ensure that our tools, processes, and systems meet the highest standards for our team, members, and employers.

The purpose of this role is to perform ongoing quality assessments, defect analysis, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and support system and product rollouts to ensure seamless administrative readiness.

As the Newest Member of our Team, You'll:

  • Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by developing detailed test matrices, identifying key test scenarios, executing test cases, and analyzing results. Collaborate with IT to address defects and ensure system readiness for production use.
  • Identify, document, and analyze defects in system processes and functionalities, working with IT and other stakeholders to prioritize and resolve issues.
  • Facilitate change management efforts within the pension administration teams by facilitating process improvements, documenting changes, and ensuring smooth adoption of new systems, tools, and practices.
  • Provide ongoing support to the pension administration teams on system updates, process changes, and new functionalities. Lead ad hoc training sessions and contribute to continuous process improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Member Services, Employer Services, IT) to resolve issues and support QA initiatives.
  • Conduct quality inspections and tests on various pension processes to identify system or process gaps, identify root cause, mitigate risks and ensure compliance with plan rules and applicable pension regulations and legislative requirements.
  • Develop regular audit reports with findings, risk assessments and propose corrective actions.

To Succeed, You Bring:

  • A College Diploma or University Degree, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in Multi-Employer Pension Plans (MEPP), public sector pension administration, or with an outsourcing service provider.
  • A strong understanding of pension administration processes, systems, pension plan texts, and applicable legislation.
  • Hands-on experience in testing, documenting system changes, and implementing new pension systems, including familiarity with testing methodologies, defect analysis, quality reviews, and maintaining data integrity.
  • Experience in auditing and conducting quality reviews to ensure compliance with plan rules and applicable pension regulations and legislative requirements.
  • Experience in collecting, synthesizing, organizing and interpreting data or information and formulate appropriate conclusions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience using SQL or Power BI considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail and a solid mathematical aptitude to identify and address complex issues.
  • Clear and effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exceptional judgment and decision-making abilities, particularly in high-pressure situations, ensuring the best outcomes for both the team and the organization.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a proven ability to work effectively in teams, build relationships, and contribute to a positive, supportive work environment.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Certifications such as the Pension Plan Administration Certificate (PPAC), Certified Employee Benefit Specialist (CEBS), or Certified Benefits Professional (CBP), and certifications in Project Management (PMP), Six Sigma, or Agile are valuable assets.
