Senior AWS Data Engineer / ArchitectOn behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Senior AWS Data Engineer / Architect for a 6-12 month role. This position is a fully remote position with no onsite requirements.Senior AWS Data Engineer / Architect - Job DescriptionThis project involves migrating TSBC’s on-premises SQL Server / SSIS based data warehouse to a modern AWS-based data lakehouse architecture. The role requires providing technical leadership and guidance in establishing a CI/C&D deployment system and optimal patterns for monitoring, notifications, security, and data pipelines.Senior AWS Data Engineer / Architect - ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with IT and Data Management team to design a CI/C&D deployment system for AWS data lake accountDevelop optimal patterns for monitoring, notifications, and security, including monitoring dashboards and alerting configurationsAssist in developing data pipeline and orchestration design patterns from various source systems using AWS tools such as Glue, Step Functions, DMSEnsure security and data access best practices (IAM roles, encryption, Lake Formation)Senior AWS Data Engineer / Architect - Mandatory SkillsCapability to architect highly scalable distributed systems using AWS toolsDemonstrated experience with agile or other rapid application development methodsFamiliarity with DevOps best practicesExtensive knowledge in SQL and scripting languages such as PythonExperience using AWS technologies including S3, Redshift, AWS Glue, CloudFormation, CloudWatchExperience with integration of data from multiple data sources and multiple styles of APIsExperience working with SQL databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, RedshiftSenior AWS Data Engineer / Architect – Nice-to-Have SkillsKnowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworksStrong communication skills for cross-team collaborationAbility to mentor and guide other team membersSenior AWS Data Engineer / Architect – Assignment LengthThis is a contract position for 6 full-time or 12 months part-time.Senior AWS Data Engineer / Architect - Start DateJanuary 2026Senior AWS Data Engineer / Architect - Assignment LocationRemote from Canada, supporting Pacific Time. #J-18808-Ljbffr
