As a member of the Alberta Health Services Pharmacy Services team, the Pharmacist I will provide high quality direct patient care as technicians and assistants function at their full scope of practice in drug distribution. Utilize your Additional Prescribing Authorization to optimize patient medication regimens. Optimize therapy for acute and chronic disease management. Empower clients in managing their medical conditions through promotion of healthy lifestyle choices, client education and direct client care. Facilitate smooth transitions between care settings for our patients. Professional practice development and growth is fostered through the provision of educational days and support from dedicated Clinical Practice Leaders. As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
