Speech-Language Pathologist This position would ideally be full-time permanent, although opportunities are available for part-time, or for an independent contractor. Start date negotiable, ideally January 2026. At Bright Spot we are a team of dedicated professionals committed to providing exceptional speech-language pathology services, occupational therapy services, and psychological assessments to Northeastern Ontario. If you are passionate about working with children with communication challenges, enjoy having FUN, and are self-driven to learn, then this is the job for you. We are looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide assessment, intervention, and supervision for pediatric or adult clients. This position would ideally include travel to a fly-in reserve once per month as well as providing services at our clinic in Timmins and at schools. Applicants that are not interested/willing to travel are welcome to apply. Key Responsibilities Provide assessment and treatment to pediatric or adult clients who present with a broad range of communication difficulties Write assessment reports, treatment plans, and progress reports (or other necessary documentation) Work as part of a team (will be working with other regulated health professionals closely) Maintain up-to-date records on all communication with clients Creatively problem-solve to provide treatment programs catered to individual clients and settings May involve supervision of therapy assistants Must be flexible Must appreciate and use a client and family-centred approach May be required to do presentations to small groups May be required to contribute to social media content, such as blogs or videos (will be provided options of the method you feel most comfortable communicating) Qualifications Registered speech-language pathologist in good standing with CASLPO Experience working with clients with cultural differences would be an asset. (Cultural safety training will be provided) Comfortable with technology Hanen certification is a strong asset Driver’s license is an asset Bilingualism (French and English) preferred New graduates are welcome to apply, mentorship opportunities are available Preference given to candidates with at least 3 years of experience, although candidates with less experience are encouraged to apply This position is full-time, although part-time or contract positions may be considered.
