The Opportunity: We are the team behind Grafana k6 , Grafana Cloud k6 , and Grafana Cloud Synthetics , used by teams globally to ensure resilient, high-performing systems. This opportunity is with the synthetics monitoring squad, who build and operate our synthetic monitoring product: a mission-critical observability tool with thousands of users running billions of synthetic tests each month. We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about communicating with data and providing seamless experiences for our customers to join our growing team Our stack is Typescript + React (interacting with backends written in Golang), and our engineers work on a mix of Open Source + internal services. Working with your team to deliver new features, measuring the impact of your work, and using the results to iterate and improve. Leading and managing projects throughout their entire lifecycle, from the initial ideation and planning stages, through development and execution, to final delivery. Collaborating with product management and UX design functions to create a great user experience. Interacting directly with customers to collect feedback and understand their needs, then advocating for our customers at every stage of the development lifecycle. Contribute actively to a positive team culture, fostering collaboration, psychological safety, and mutual respect. As we are remote-first and our engineering organization is entirely remote, we provide guidance and meet regularly using video calls, so an independent attitude, good communication skills, and transparency are a must. What Makes You a Great Fit: Experience building integrated, frontend applications with React and TypeScript, following modern patterns and best practices. You are a motivated self starter with a bias towards action. You are customer focused. We build everything with our users in mind. You have a passion for creating intuitive products that fit customers’ needs. Pragmatism: You are able to take on complex challenges and break them down to achieve short feedback loops: to analyze, design, and build modular solutions, deliver MVPs, gather data and feedback and then progress iteratively. Collaboration and communication: The smallest unit we have is a squad. You’ll be working with your teammates in a fully remote setup. Good communication skills are a must. Bonus Points For: Understanding of metrics collection, visualization, and alerting concepts Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform. Experience contributing across the stack from frontend to backend, or familiarity with some traditionally backend programming languages like Go. Been a user of Grafana and/or other observability related applications at a previous employer or just using these tools on hobby/homelab projects. Compensation & Rewards: In the United States, the Base compensation range for this role is CAD 164,000 - CAD 205.000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed throughout the interview process. All of our roles include Restricted Stock Units (RSUs), giving every team member ownership in Grafana Labs' success.
