MUST HAVE SKILLS:

  • Oracle BI Report Development
  • Experience rebuilding Oracle reports in Oracle BI Publisher

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS:

  • Previous experience with the PROMIS application/team/data model

JOB DUTIES:

PROMIS is the BC provincial registry and clinical information system for chronic kidney disease, solid organ transplant patients, and the new provincial post-covid interdisciplinary clinical care network. The application is undergoing a multi-year modernization project, redeveloping the application in Oracle ADF (legacy version uses Oracle Forms). We are adding to our internal team resources to ensure the timely completion of this project and require an experienced Oracle developer, with particular expertise in Oracle reports.

We have a number of Oracle Reports in our legacy application which must be either revised to account for an updated data model OR have logic extracted to enable redevelopment in Oracle BI Reports. The ideal consultant will be able to extract logic and redevelop in Oracle BI.

Development in support of these objectives may require some or all of the following services:

qExtracting current business logic implementation from existing Oracle Reports.

qRebuilding Oracle Reports in Oracle BI Publisher.

qImplementation of Business logic using SQL & PL/SQL within PROMIS Database

qEstablish design, development guidelines and standards

qConformance to Oracle Database Best Practices / Standards

qUnderstand business needs for Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery

qCollaborate with other PROMIS team members to carry out project requirements and deliverables

qAdhere to and provide input for improvement of existing Software Development Life Cycles processes / methodologies & development standards for PROMIS and all other BC Renal / BC Transplant IT undertakings

qEnsure that all software aspects of system stability and performance, security and privacy, software monitoring, defect identification and remediation are current and active

qProduce technical deliverables like design/technical specifications, code and unit-test.
