Customer Focus Integrity and Trust Respect Communication Mission The Industrial Engineering Specialist will provide technical and analytical support for key ongoing initiatives aimed at improving production line efficiency, task balancing, and process integration. Working closely with the Manufacturing & Industrial Engineering team, this role will assist in the deployment of new time‑study tools, the restructuring of production lines, and the alignment of performance indicators and preparation activities across departments. What You’ll Be Contributing Support to Production Line Assist in implementing the new production line structure for active product families Participate in data collection, layout validation, and workflow observations Support the documentation of workstation layouts, manpower distribution, and takt time adjustments Time Study and Task Balancing Tools Conduct and document time studies across multiple product lines Help develop and validate new task balancing templates and tools under the supervision of the operational excellence management Analyze observed data to identify inefficiencies and propose preliminary recommendations KPI Dashboard and Performance Metrics Support Assist in updating Operational Excellence KPI dashboards to align with the new line configurations and process models Gather production data and support visual updates in Power BI or Excel-based tracking tools Integration with Warehouse Preparation Activities Contribute to the review and redesign of preparation and picking workflows between warehouse and production teams Support process mapping and documentation of material flow to ensure smooth transition into production areas Continuous Improvement and Lean Support Participate in 5S reviews, process audits, and ergonomic assessments Provide hands‑on assistance in data gathering, validation, and visual management implementation Qualification Required Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering or a related field Knowledge of industrial engineering practices, lean implementation, and time/motion analysis Proficiency in capacity planning, process simulation, and workflow optimization Collaboration skills to partner with engineering, quality, and operations teams Experience with layout/design tools such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Visio Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint); experience with Power BI is an asset Details Onsite work model – 5 days a week 3‑month contract About Hypertec Founded in 1984, Hypertec empowers innovators to push boundaries and lead their industries through transformative technology.
