We work collaboratively to build community awareness of homelessness and to provide housing opportunities for clients. CMHA Kamloops creates awareness, provides education, and supports individuals and families living with mental health or substance use concerns. Our programs are community-based, and they include supportive and independent living, homelessness services, and peer support. By working closely with other community agencies, we are bridging gaps in mental health care and facilitating access to critical services and resources.Position Type: 1 Part-TimeHours: 30-35 Hours/weekSalary & Benefits: $34.76/hour plus Extended Health and Dental, Municipal Pension Plan, EFAPThe Role The Program Lead is responsible for coordinating, implementing, and managing the various programs, including our education and financial literacy programs. This role provides strategic oversight to ensure trauma-informed, inclusive, and high-impact service delivery aligned with CMHA Kamloops’ mission and funder commitments.  Reporting to the Manager of Communications and Engagement, the Program Lead oversees program planning, staff supervision (Financial Counsellor, Benefits Navigator, and Community Educator), partnership development, budgeting, and evaluation. This position plays a key role in integrating financial empowerment and community education initiatives within CMHA Kamloops’ broader service continuum.  Key Responsibilities Coordinate and oversee the daily operations and delivery of the various programs, including our education program and our financial literacy program, ensuring programs meet goals, performance indicators, and reporting requirements. Support the development and delivery of trauma-informed, inclusive, and culturally responsive programming aligned with organizational and funder standards. Supervise and support the Financial Counsellor, Benefits Navigator, and Community Educator, including scheduling, training, performance reviews, and promoting teamwork and innovation. Build and maintain active partnerships with community organizations, Indigenous partners, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to strengthen service delivery and identify opportunities for joint programming. Oversee data collection, outcome tracking, and evaluation processes, and prepare funder and internal reports focused on outcomes and continuous quality improvement. Monitor program budgets and expenditures, assist with funding applications, budget justifications, and grant reports, ensuring compliance with CMHA Kamloops’ standards. Collaborate with the Communications and Engagement team to promote programs, services, and community education initiatives through outreach, events, and public awareness campaigns.  Key Skills and Experience Required Post-secondary degree or diploma in social services, community development, education, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience). Minimum three (3) years of experience in program coordination, community-based services, and staff supervision. Experience in program evaluation, data reporting, budgeting, and grant compliance Knowledge of adult education, financial literacy, benefit navigation, or community resiliency initiatives is considered an asset. Strong leadership, organizational, communication, and partnership-building skills with Indigenous, rural, and equity-deserving communities. Valid Canadian Driver’s License, reliable vehicle, and satisfactory Criminal Record Check (including Vulnerable Sector). How to ApplyPlease indicate your interest in this position by forwarding a letter of interest and an updated resume tohr.kamloops@cmhakamloops.ca.
