Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and reporting to the Head of Credit Execution, Western Canada, the successful candidate will possess a strong work ethic, thrive in a dynamic team-based environment and actively participate in a wide variety of complex senior debt lending mandates. Working hours are dictated by portfolio demands under a hybrid work environment with both days in the office and at home. p>

Your job:

  • Support National Client Group, Western Canada team members (Execution and Relationship Management) in managing and growing an existing portfolio of relationships (both bilateral & syndicated);
  • Work closely with financial advisors, private equity sponsors and internal banking partners (i.e., li>
  • Perform high-quality credit analysis, deal structuring, underwriting, and documentation review/finalization of existing and new lending opportunities/mandates;
  • Complete financial transaction and borrower risk rating models;
  • Work closely with Credit Risk Management to authorize and close transactions in accordance with the Bank’s risk guidelines;
  • Independently manage an assigned portfolio to ensure covenants remain in compliance with agreed upon terms & conditions and that annual reviews are completed in accordance with Bank policies;
  • Serve as a strong resource within the team and assist in developing the competencies of junior team members;
  • Assist the Head of Credit Execution, Western Canada, as required, in reviewing the credit quality of the National Client Group, Western Canada portfolio.
