The Director reports directly to the Department Chair.Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities) –Assign a percentage to each function (total 100%):Administration & Academic Service - 50%Maintain a clinical and educational environment that promotes wellness, patient safety, and quality improvement. Oversee education quality across sites, approve local directors and faculty, monitor resident supervision, and ensure compliance with institutional and accreditation policies.Teaching - 10%Supervise residents and medical students, present grand rounds, and participate in didactic series.Service - 10%Participate in institutional, departmental, and community committees.Clinical Practice - 30%Maintain clinical services in inpatient consultation, outpatient clinics, or addiction services at Meharry Medical College and affiliated facilities.Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesParticipation in professional organizations, administrative experience, supervision and assessment expertise, strong interpersonal skills, and scholarly work in psychiatry.Education and ExperienceMedical degree, completed ACGME residency, board-certified psychiatrist, faculty experience, administrative experience, licensure, DEA, CPR, Buprenorphine Waiver, faculty appointment eligibility.Additional DetailsSeniority level: DirectorEmployment type: Full-timeJob function: Business Development and SalesIndustries: Higher Education #J-18808-Ljbffr
