Buyer/ Analyst L1

Hammond Power Solutions is seeking a materials and supply chain professional to support production planning and purchasing for our manufacturing operations. The role ensures high‑quality materials are available at the most cost‑effective price while meeting customer demands and inventory objectives. Responsibilities Plan, procure and expedite materials using MRP (AX Dynamics) system. Collaborate with Engineering to interpret designs and purchase proper materials for build. Improve inventory turns by analyzing stock and optimizing material supply for production support. Support manufacturing with non‑conforming materials by coordinating with suppliers to correct and achieve material specifications. Assist on on‑time delivery by liaising with suppliers to ensure on‑time delivery is achieved. Act as support and backup resource to the production planning and purchasing team. Participate as a cross‑functional team member in projects related to plant efficiency, employee engagement, continuous improvement, 5S and/or ISO9000 requirements. Qualifications Post‑secondary education in Materials, Operations Management or Supply Chain. 1‑3 years supporting a plant operation in Materials, Supply Chain or Production Planning. Computer skills to utilize ERP system & Microsoft Office and create spreadsheets that analyze data. Excellent communication skills to interact with the team, customers and suppliers about operational matters. Self‑directed and organized with effective problem‑solving/decision‑making ability. Team player who demonstrates a can‑do attitude with a desire to support the team and continuously develop itself. Benefits Competitive wages.
