Liberty Development Corporation, located in Markham, is a leading Real Estate Developer of high-density mixed use development projects across the Greater Toronto Area. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Development Team.

Role and Responsibilities: As a Land Development Planner / Project Coordinator working along with the Senior Management Team and Project Managers, you will be required to carry out various tasks including the following:

Job Duties:

Undertake research and analysis on planning policy, legislation, development standards and application requirements Due diligence on land use planning policy frameworks for land acquisition Participate in concept design on new projects Invite proposals and assist in engagement of consultant teams Coordinate the work of consultants Submission of complete applications for development approvals Coordinate responses to agency comments, and clear conditions for final approval Meet with public officials on development plans and proposals Communicate with the public and stakeholders Participate at public consultation meetings and workshops Attendance and participation in Planning Act hearings including the Committee of Adjustment and the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal Assist in all stages of project planning, approvals, marketing and implementation Attend Committee and Council meetings, as required

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate has the following:

University Degree in Planning, Urban Design, Architecture or a related field. A degree in Urban Planning is preferred 1-3 years of related professional experience Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite Excellent written and oral skills Highly efficient and effective in working in an individual or team environment Ability to handle a high level of responsibility in a fast-paced environment Time management skills and ability to prioritize responsibilities
