Full professional Practice autonomy. Responsibilities Provide counselling on prescriptions, OTC products, and general health concerns (indications, contraindications, adverse effects, drug interactions, and dosages). Ensure accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions dispensed. Communicate with other health care professionals within the circle of care. Maintain accurate records in compliance with legislation and College standards (customer files, narcotics/controlled substances, etc.). Administer vaccinations, including travel, adult, and COVID-19 through IMMSBC. Witness OAT clients and ensure compliance with College regulations. Oversee inventory management, including preparation, packaging, and storage of medications. Promote health and wellness through in-store consultations, community events, and clinics. Deliver other professional clinical services as appropriate. Qualifications Licensed Pharmacist in BC (required) Authorization to administer vaccines (required) Registered and familiar with IMMSBC for vaccine administration (required) Knowledge of OAT treatment College regulations (required) Strong communication and customer service skills Independent decision-making and professionalism Proficiency with Kroll; experience with Propel is an asset Benefits Dental care Extended health care Vision care Health Spending Account (HSA) Life insurance Paid time off Relocation assistance Store discount On-site parking Location Work is in-person at Medicine Shoppe, Nanaimo, BC.
