Job Description

Today CS Group Canada is looking for a Software Verification Engineer. Their role will be to test embedded software applications on aircraft and space systems such as engine control, flight management systems, and display/avionics systems. The role may evolve to perform software development.

Responsibilities:

  1. Carry out the software testing in accordance with DO-178.
  2. Develop and run the relevant tests on the test platforms to verify the correctness of design.
  3. Debug issues (raised during the software development cycle) in the engine control software.
  4. Ensure traceability between all the software design and tests artifacts.
  5. Conduct independent peer reviews on tests produced by other team members.
  6. Draft all the final technical documents.
  7. Provide a clear status and workload to your lead.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement of the team performance (quality, efficiency, on-time delivery).
Qualifications

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Science or equivalent.
  2. 2-6 years experience in a similar position.
  3. Experience with engine control software.
  4. Interest in troubleshooting complex software problems.
  5. Knowledge of DO-178.
  6. Knowledge of C language, and scripting languages like Python.
  7. Knowledge of SCADE, Matlab / Simulink or equivalent.
  8. Knowledge of testing tools Rational RTRT and/or LDRA.
  9. Software Knowledge: Microsoft Office, DOORS, SVN.
  10. Basic knowledge in communication protocols such as CAN, ARINC, RS-422, Ethernet.
  11. Good communication, interpersonal skills, team-player.
  12. Curiosity, autonomy, pro-activity and ability to find solutions and compromises.
