They offer excellent benefits, amazing growth options and an unbeatable work-life balance like no other firm hasTasks & ResponsibilitiesParticipate in client-facing engagement teams focused on completing U.S. corporate tax engagementsAdvise organizations on optimal U.S. corporate structures from a tax efficiency standpointDeliver technical expertise on complex tax and assurance issues through high-quality deliverablesPrepare due diligence and financial modeling for potential U.S. acquisitions by Canadian entitiesReview domestic and international federal and multi-state corporate/partnership tax returnsManage project financials including budgets, WIPs, billing, collections, and variance trackingCollaborate with team members and clients on specific corporate tax inquiriesAnalyze discrepancies and irregularities in financial records and reportsResearch tax issues arising from compliance or planning engagementsAssist in preparing and delivering competitive proposals to clientsParticipate in engagement planning to align roles, risk areas, deadlines, and expectationsIdentify opportunities to enhance client relationships and deliver additional valueReview tax returns and other deliverables to ensure high quality and accuracyMonitor and adjust project timelines to ensure milestones are metDelegate tasks effectively and ensure accurate documentation is preparedContribute to the development of innovative tax strategies and internal processesPrepare annual written performance reviews for assigned staffPerform other related duties as requiredSkills & QualificationsChartered Professional Accountant (CPA) designation or U.S. equivalentMaster’s Degree in U.S. Taxation, Law, or Member of the Bar (considered an asset)Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in public accounting and/or tax consultingStrong technical knowledge and experience in U.S. Corporate TaxIn-depth understanding of business, accounting, and practice development principlesProven experience in U.S. tax compliance and corporate tax reorganizationsFamiliarity with transfer pricing tax conceptsProficient with tax software such as Caseware, GoSystem, ProSystem, and ProfileHigh computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPointSome travel may be requiredTo be discussedJob TypeFull-Time, PermanentLocationFill out the form below; don’t forget to mention the position you’re applying to.
