Note: We are currently looking to fill two (2) Senior Engineer positions.

Examples of the types of projects this team has completed or is currently managing include: Smart Grid Nova Scotia, Rural EV Public Charging Network, Dynamic Voltage Restorer, Time Variable Pricing, and Telemetry. Looking ahead, we have exciting projects planned for 2025 in the areas of Demand Response, Grid edge, FLISR, and DERMS.
- Lead design and implementation of engineering solutions that enhance customer satisfaction and reliability of service.
- Utilize data analytics to identify trends and make data-driven recommendations that enhance the customer experience.
- Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they meet budget, timeline, and quality requirements.
- Represent Nova Scotia Power as a technical expert externally, whether with customers, stakeholders, or industry partners.
- Participate in research and development projects focused on sustainable energy practices that directly benefit our customers.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining a strong focus on safety and satisfaction.
These skills will make you successful:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Electrical, Mechanical or Industrial preferred)
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in Engineering roles with focus on electrification.
- Technical expertise in Demand Response, Battery technology, Electric Vehicle Charging, or Electrification of Buildings/Industry.
- Proficiency in data analytics tools and techniques, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in project management, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
- A commitment to sustainability and making a positive impact on our customers and in our communities.
You must possess a valid driver’s license.
Project Management Professional (PMP) credentials.Experience in Contractor Management, including accountability for safety oversight for construction and operational activities.Experience in integrating software platforms, software development methodologies and tools.Learn more about our culture and values
