Job Description Summit Search Group, partnered with Exceldor Cooperative, an award‑winning, longstanding Manitoba‑based organization, is seeking a Distribution Manager for its Blumenort location. Reporting to the Director of Processing Operations, the Distribution Manager will plan, organize, direct, and manage department operations and budget, covering warehousing, inventory control, transportation, and logistics administration. The Position The ideal candidate is a results‑driven leader with experience supervising teams, managing freight and shipping operations, and driving operational efficiency. They excel in supplier negotiations, process improvements, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. With expertise in inventory management, HACCP processes, and documentation, the successful candidate will collaborate across departments to achieve business goals and enhance profitability. Responsibilities Supervise, coach, and train department workforce and conduct performance management reviews with all direct reports. Manage freight‑out, freezer, and shipping departments to achieve optimum operational and financial results.Liaise with and negotiate 3rd‑party suppliers to stay within budget while meeting customer specifications and expectations. Maintain metrics and analyze data to assess performance and develop process improvements. Oversee proper implementation of product storage, distribution, and HACCP processes. Collaborate with internal departments to accurately conduct bi‑annual physical counts and manage daily inventory levels and rotation at all storage locations. Oversee procedures and documentation requirements for export shipping. Coordinate internal resources to complete invoicing and credit note functions efficiently. Maintain awareness of and compliance with scheduling, health & safety, food safety regulations, and collective agreements. Qualifications Post‑secondary education and/or 5+ years of experience managing within a supply chain role. Proven track record of leading and motivating teams. Broad knowledge of operations and strategy / supply chain management processes. Experience in continuous quality performance improvement, planning, and organizing.
