Technical Support Expert Job Description

This is a full-time, in-office position at our office at 3080 Yonge St in Toronto. You'll work closely with our technical teams and support personnel to ensure seamless operations across our enterprise projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain deep insights into our technology ecosystem, including Linux systems, networking, API integrations, and video surveillance (camera systems).

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  1. Provide expert technical support and troubleshooting for our enterprise systems and devices.
  2. Diagnose and resolve issues related to Linux system administration, networking, and API/REST API functions.
  3. Offer specialized support for camera systems, ensuring optimal performance and quick resolution of hardware or software issues.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to document technical procedures, enhance system reliability, and refine support processes.
  5. Communicate effectively in English to explain technical details to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

  1. Language Proficiency: Fluent in English, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  2. Strong understanding of networking technologies and protocols (IP, TCP, UDP, etc.).
  3. Hands-on experience working with API integrations and REST API functions.
  4. Camera Systems: Prior experience or familiarity with camera hardware and software is highly desirable.
  5. Problem-Solving: Excellent troubleshooting abilities and a proactive approach to technical challenges.

WHAT WILL BE GOOD TO HAVE

  1. Additional certifications or training in technical support, networking, or systems administration.
  2. Experience with security systems and security cameras, video surveillance technology or related camera systems support would be an asset.
  3. A background in working within fast-paced, enterprise-level IT environments.
