Our friendly Member Advice Specialists are sales and customer service superstars who bring our “How can we help you?” brand to life with every member they interact with. Imagine helping our members with fulfilling basic personal credit needs, selling and handling Low Fee More for Me Mutual Funds, term deposits, RRSPs, setting up electronic services like internet banking, opening free chequing accounts, and adding overdraft protection to help avoid nasty NSF charges. But it doesn’t end there: Member Advice Specialists do two other very important tasks. First, they are sales pros who uncover opportunities to better serve our members with our products and services. Second, they identify who in the company can best help that member, be it themselves or another teammate. Accountabilities Deliver a natural high from providing positive and unexpected customer experiences through general retail banking. Engage customers in “Where You Are At Money Chat” to help them save, grow, protect, and improve their financial well‑being. Work as a high‑performing team member within the branch, ensuring all checks and balances around policies and regulatory requirements are completed. Proactively and creatively offer helpful solutions and alternatives to customer inquiries. Earn high‑fives from your managers and peers by achieving sales and referral targets in a needs‑based sales environment. Skills & Qualifications Comfortable helping customers with simple financial assistance and promoting products and services. Minimum three years of experience helping members in a bank or credit union, preferably with lending and investments, spotting sales and referral opportunities. Post‑secondary education in finance, business administration, or a related field, with a desire to continue learning. Certificate in Investment Funds in Canada is a requirement. Enjoy building relationships with a diverse range of people and helping them with simple financial advice. Strong teamwork spirit and demonstration of team collaboration.
