The successful candidate will be based in the Greater Montreal area and working remotely from their home office. The Technical Business Developer will be responsible for both growing business within existing accounts and hunting and developing new business in the province of Quebec. The successful candidate has a technical academic background ideally in Electrical Engineering or Electrical technologist with experience in technical sales. The rep will be responsible for increasing the market share and presence for our computer and vision portfolio of products, custom engineering solutions, and integration services. Desired Skills: OTE (On Target Earnings) 100K-140K based on experience Build and execute a business plan to grow revenue and take market share in the territory With strong focus on technical sales, you have a history of exceeding sales quotas Able to operate independently and work remotely Extensive local travel and minimal overnight travel required Ability to communicate and influence effectively from engineering to senior management in a complex, competitive solutions sale environment Ability to understand the customer specific needs at all levels and provide solutions Ability to manage multiple, complex sales and support situations Self Prospecting a must Working understanding of the technologies in both embedded computing and imaging as well as complimentary service solutions. 3 years of successful sales experience in technology, preferences given to automation, machine/computer vision or image processing solution sales Bachelor's degree in Electrical engineering, advanced technologists degree or equivalent preferred Strong command of both French and English language both verbal and written a must More About You: To qualify, you will need at least 3 years of successful outbound or outside sales experience, as well as a post‑secondary degree or diploma in engineering or technology. Since the role requires occasional travel to and from our offices and various client sites in your territory, a valid driver’s license and clean driving record is required. Knowledge, skills, and experience in the following will be considered strong assets: Experience in video processing, machine vision and embedded/ruggedized computing Proven prospecting strategies to increase business within the territory Managing multiple, complex sales, and support situations Experience selling technology to industrial, military, or defence industries Field Application Engineer background, or equivalent High aptitude in technological trends and advanced technical mindset Moreover, you are resourceful, highly motivated, assertive, and able to effectively communicate and influence engineers to senior management in a complex competitive environment.
