Dependable Truck & Tank Limited was founded in 1975 and is, as it began, a family operated business. Our innovative design and engineering concepts allow us to manufacture cargo tanks, trailers and emergency vehicles to our client’s specifications. We manufacture versatile cargo tanks and trailer tankers for the distribution of petroleum products and other bulk related products. We also manufacture tankers for municipal maintenance applications. Our custom tanks range in size from 2000 liter truck-mounted units to 60,000 liter B-train units.

The position requires FLUX CORE WELDER with previous experience working in a custom production and manufacturing environment that has 3+ years’ experience.

Being a custom fabrication shop producing highway petroleum cargo tankers, we require a candidate to custom fit the fabricated assemblies made to their assigned trucks.

Responsibilities:
  • Welding aluminum with (MIG & Flux Core) and using tools such as brake presses
  • Read blueprints and show drawings for custom work
  • Use manual mill and lathe machines to fabricate parts
  • Use machine shop tools such as brake presses, drill presses and shears to cut, bend and tap parts, experience with manual plasma torch, chop saw, hand drills and grinders.
  • Operate other equipment such as welding gages, grinders, chippers, scrapers, torches and gauges.
Skills:
  • Work from blueprints and raw materials to finished parts that can be welded together into complete products
  • Candidate must be flexible, reliable and punctual
  • Previous experience working on custom pieces and be comfortable working with aluminum and stainless.
Work schedule:8:00am – 5:00pm
