Job Type: On-Going Part-time, Independent Contractor Position.

Hours: Minimum 5 Hours of Availability Required Per Week.
Side by Side Therapy is currently looking for skilled individuals to fill contract Instructor Therapist positions in Etobicoke. Instructor Therapists will work one-on-one with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (or other developmental disabilities) in the children’s home while employing Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) teaching strategies as directed by a Senior Therapist and RBA.

Successful Candidates Must:
  • Possess a minimum of 6 months employment experience as an Instructor Therapist or similar role, implementing ABA procedures as directed by an RBA
  • Implement sessions as directed by the RBA in accordance with the client’s Individualized Service Plan (ISP) in the client’s home or community.
  • Implement feedback from the RBA (or delegate) in a timely manner to improve client outcomes.
  • Record and graph data and notes required by the RBA
  • Arrive on time and prepared for all sessions with clients.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, other team members, and the agency.
  • Other duties as assigned by the RBA

Successful candidates should possess:
  • Outstanding organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
  • Access to a a reliable method of transportation
  • A College Diploma or University Degree in a related field
Additional Assets: 
  • Registered Behaviour Technician (RBT) course completion is an asset
  • ABA/Autism-related Diploma/Certificate is an asset
  • CPR / First Aid certification
  • Non-Violent Crisis Intervention certification (or similar certification)
