Position: Avionics EngineerLocation: Abbotsford, BCSalary: TBDIndustry: Aerospace/ EngineeringEmployment Term: Full Time / Permanent Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and implement avionics systems for aircraft, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for avionics projects providing technical expertise.
  • Write and interpret electrical specifications related to the aircraft.
  • Perform system testing and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and functionality of avionics systems.
  • Develop and maintain documentation including system requirements, design specifications, and testing procedures.
  • Provide technical support to maintenance teams during the production and operation phases.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting enhancements to existing systems and processes.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree/ Diploma in Electrical/ Avionics Engineering or Technology.
  • 3+ years of experience in Aircraft Electrical/ Avionics Engineering.
  • Solid knowledge of Engineering principles and Project Management.
  • Understanding of Global Positioning Systems and Traffic Collison Avoidance System.
  • Knowledge of digital instruments and navigation systems needed.
  • Knowledge of aviation regulations, standards, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with safety-critical systems and risk management.
  • Excellent communication skills- both written and verbal.
