Job Overview:We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented sheet metal foreman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC sheet metal with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. This role requires a solid understanding of construction processes, and the ability to manage workers and resolve issues as they arise. The sheet metal Foreman will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed on time and to specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Skills to determine and mark sheet metal according to template
- Operate metal working machines to cut, punch, drill, shape, or straighten sheet metal
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic drawings
- Set up power equipment, and cut materials using power tools or by hand
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to the template
- Ability to work in an organized environment and effectively communicate within a positive team environment
- Good communication/interpersonal skills
- Supervise workers and projects
- Train and arrange for training
- Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
- Reserve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Journeyman or Foreman or similar role
- Strong mechanical knowledge and aptitude
- Proficiency in using various metalworking tools and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of RFI, change orders, etc
Experience:
- 7 years as a sheet metal worker (required)
- 3 years as a Sheetmetal Foreman
- English (required)
- 308 License (required)
